Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.

September 23, 2004 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- In one of the latest moves in its ongoing campaign against spam, technology giant Microsoft (microsoft.com) filed a law suit last week against CheapBulletProof.com, accusing the company of actively working to recruit spammers to use its services.

CheapBulletProof.com is of the emerging breed of ?bulletpfoof? Web hosting companies that caters to mass emailing clients, and is largely responsible for serving the spam market. These providers frequently use overseas servers and offer clients rotating IP addresses that enable them to avoid their messages being blocked or blacklisted.

Representatives for CheapBulletProof.com claim the company caters to professional bulk email marketers, rather than spammers. If customers are found to be marketing illegally, says the company, it warns them. Repeat offenders are removed from the network.

CheapBulletProof.com says a banner ad on its site encouraging users to ?make big money with spam!? is not a representation of the site's own politics.

If Microsoft's offensive against bulletproof hosting is successful, it could go a long way toward curbing the activities of spammers, who rely heavily on the services.
