(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Windows-based hosting and managed IT services provider MaximumASP (www.maximumasp.com) has plans to launch the first highly available completely PCI-compliant, ASP.NET shared windows hosting platform in October.
According to MaximumASP’s Thursday announcement, the soon-to-be-released MaxESP platform will be a highly scalable, cost-effective hosting solution that caters to all aspects of the application life cycle. Customers will be able to quickly upgrade the standard plan with load balancing and more robust features with a single mouse click.
“Windows Server 2008 R2, Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.5, and Application Request Routing, which is an IIS extension, offers tremendous benefits to both our company and our customers in our new shared hosting platform,” MaxESP product manager Matt Griffin said in a statement.
Aside from the usual features of a hosting solution such as email, SQL databases, SAN-supported storage, and free backups, the MaxESP platform offers an SSL VPN service free of charge and PCI compliance at a shared price point, as well as on-demand application-aware load balancing and run simultaneous application instances without having to rewrite code.
With both its current offerings and MaxESP, MaximumASP has simplified the administration of shared hosting for its own support staff, according to MaximumASP chief technology officer Dominic Foster. “With Application Request Routing on top of Windows Server 2008 R2, we’ve created a rock-solid platform that’s scalable to any level and takes care of all the headaches normally associated with shared hosting,” Foster said in a statement.
Microsoft communications sector worldwide software plus services industry general manager John Zanni said Microsoft’s Application Request Routing lets hosting providers offer elastic scalability, optimized resource utilization and reduced management costs. “MaximumASP, as our Hosting Solutions Partner of the Year, continues to innovate and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies with its MaxESP platform.”
Introductory accounts will be available in October free of charge for 30 days and just $49 a month after the trial period.
