(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Among a number of upgrades to its Microsoft (www.microsoft.com) Hyper-V-powered MaxV (www.maxv.com) virtual private server platform, web hosting and managed IT services provider MaximumASP (www.maximumasp.com) has introduced the MaxV Account Center Interface, providing advanced monitoring and reporting features with dashboard views.
According to the Microsoft Gold Certified Provider, the MaxV Account Center Interface allows users to view a variety of server information such as its current configuration, system performance metrics, server health, recent maintenance and software updates and virus scans.
“The MaxV management tool upgrade reveals unique benefits, empowering customers to perform many different management and monitoring tasks without requiring any administrative support from MaximumASP staff,” MaximumASP chief technology officer Dominic Foster said in a statement.
Introduced to the public in late 2008, MaximumASP strives to make each MaxV VPS behave exactly like a stand-alone server for both users and applications, offering a high-availability clustered configuration, high-speed SAN storage, nightly backups, full administrative root-level access, guaranteed physical resources and complete privacy.
MaximumASP also announced today its MaxV Performance Monitoring, which helps administers plan for growth by supplying information on how well MaxV handles applications, identifying spikes in individual resource utilization, and quickly troubleshooting problems when applications compete for server resources.
The MaxV Event Viewer gives users detailed information about server performance, letting administrators gain access to event log data, and correlate differences in server performance with actual events logged on your server.
Finally, administrators can use MaxV Windows Update Viewer to schedule maintenance events and updates, which lets users audit updates and patches, preview queued updates prior to deployment, and install updates with minimal service interruptions.
