September 8, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center operator Managed Data Holdings (manageddataholdings.com) announced on Monday it has hired Don Goodwin as executive vice president of sales, marketing and channel partnerships.
He will be responsible for driving the sales for the company’s three current data centers, which includes its recently acquired Stargate facility in Oak Brook, Illinois, as well as the Denver Data393 facility it acquired in January.
Goodwin will implement a marketing strategy that works to further establishing MDH’s data center presence in Chicago, Denver, and Irvine, California, and developing the company’s strategic channel partner relationships.
Last week, MDH announced that its acquisition of the Stargate data center has allowed the company to further expand its data management offerings in Southern California.
He has more than 21 years of sales and marketing experience, with significant accomplishments in the expansion of sales organizations in the colocation, managed services and managed hosting industry.
Before joining MDH, Goodwin was the vice president of enterprise hosting for telecommunications provider NTT America, where he led sales, account management, alliances, marketing, and product and solution engineering for the US hosting operating unit.
Goodwin has also served management positions at Savvis Communications, Colo.com and MCI.
