Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.

April 19, 2004 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Reports say that federal authorities now believe the Gambino crime family generated an estimated $750 million in revenue from its online adult businesses, a number that is much larger than a previous estimate of $230 million.

The news follows reports last month that US prosecutors had made several indictments against Lexitrans Inc. and other shell companies based in Overland Park, Kansas, believed to be linked to the Gambino crime family. These companies allegedly ran adult Web sites and 900 numbers that defrauded customers by illegally charging for subscriptions to services advertised as free. Reports say the Lexitrans case is believed to be the largest fraud in US consumer history.
