Lunarpages Hosted Desktop, powered by onthenetOffice, allows clients to access their data and applications from any Internet-enabled device
Web host Lunarpages announced on Monday that it now offers a hosted desktop service powered by hosted services provider onthenetOffice.
Lunarpages Hosted Desktop, powered by onthenetOffice, allows clients to access their data and applications from any Internet-enabled device, and features SMX Speed Technology which makes it possible for users to launch applications in “as little as one second,” according to the press release.
Hosted desktop is an option for organizations with a mobile workforce, and it can be a high-margin business opportunity for service providers. A presentation by Citrix and Microsoft in July at its Worldwide Partner Conference noted that hosted desktop offers service providers up to 20 percent-plus margins.
Lunarpages Hosted Desktop is priced per user, per month, and is backed by 24/7/365 support. The hosted desktops are protected by onthenetOffice’s 4-D Security which includes physical and environmental security, logical and system security, operational security and backup and disaster recovery.
Lunarpages said the drive behind offering hosted desktop services is part of its efforts in always providing clients with new technology that will improve and simplify their IT infrastructures. Recently, Lunarpages partnered with Conversion Pipeline with search engine optimization and pay-per-click services.
“We are always striving to stay innovative by forming strategic partnerships with the best in the industry and the onthenetOffice team has proven to be the VDI experts,” Louie DiGiorno, director of business development at Lunarpages said in a statement.
“A partnership between onthenetOffice and Lunarpages is a great step forward for both companies,” onthenetOffice CEO Alexander Saca said in a statement. “We are certain that this strategic partnership will deliver innovative solutions to a critical mass of businesses. I am proud to be involved in this venture with Lunarpages, a respected industry leader with whom we share common values and goals.”
