January 18, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider LunarPages (lunarpages.com) announced on Tuesday it will be offering free Web hosting to all K-12 public schools in the US, effective immediately.
Lunarpages will also be providing 1000 MB of storage, unlimited email addresses, 40 GB data transfer, and unlimited phone and email support for each new account.
While there is no restriction on the use of an account, says the company, it must be opened by a school official and used for educational purposes. Private schools, colleges, churches, daycares and schools outside of the US are not eligible.
