December 30, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Webcasting and digital media solutions provider Loudeye Corp. (Loudeye.com) announced last week that its hosting and content delivery network options have been certified by Microsoft's Windows Media 9 Series Hosting Provider Certification Program.

Announced December 19 by Microsoft, the program is designed to help content companies identify hosting providers with expertise and reliable networks for delivering Windows Media 9 Series content.

Loudeye says it is among the first companies to receive the certification, and was required to pass a set of tests and evaluation criteria, examining the company's end-to-end support for Windows Media 9 Series and measuring the quality and reliability of streams delivered across its network.
