Logicworks Joins MySQL Program

February 5, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed hosting provider Logicworks (logicworks.net) announced on Tuesday it has joined the MySQL (mysql.com) Authorized Hosting Partner Program, at the Platinum Level.

As the first authorized partner of the program in the US, Logicworks will offer customers a managed MySQL Enterprise database to deliver mission-critical applications. This complements Logicworks’ managed database services, which includes a suite of services designed to reduce database downtime under any circumstance, as well as ensure that no transactions are lost during recovery.

The new program will enable Logicworks to offer customers MySQL-certified services including the ability to run the MySQL Enterprise Server, while Logicworks uses the MySQL’s Enterprise Monitor and production technical support. Using the suite of MySQL Enterprise’s database and monitoring software coupled with production support, Logicworks can deliver highly available, scalable and high performance data management.

“With the delivery of a formalized MySQL Hosting Partner Program, MySQL continues to expand the reach of its open source database software beyond the enterprise by offering this cost-effective solution,” says Carter Burden, CEO of Logicworks.

In December, Logicworks announced it joined the VMware Service Provider Program.
