February 21, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Software and consultancy company LogicBoxes (logicboxes.com) announced on Wednesday that along with domain monetization provider Skenzo (skenzo.com), it hosted an exclusive day trip called ‘The Taj Mahal Sojourn’ during last week’s 31st ICANN (icann.org) meet in Delhi, India.
As ICANN silver sponsors, LogicBoxes and Skenzo took as many as 90 attendees, which included several ICANN staff and board members, domain name registry members and registrars. Attendees included Enom CEO Paul Stahura, Tucows CEO Eliott Noss, dotMobi CEO Trey Harvin, Network Solutions VP of policy and ethics Jonathan Nevett, PIR CEO Alexa Raad, as well as ICANN’s Tim Cole, Craig Schwartz, Tina Dam, Dave Wodelet, Wendy Seltzer and Thomas Narten.
“It seemed like the perfect highlight for the first ever ICANN meet in India,” says Bhavin Turakhia, the CEO of Directi. “We wanted our guests to experience the beauty of one of the most remarkable monuments in the world — the Taj Mahal. Since most had a busy agenda packed with meetings and discussions, this trip allowed the delegates to socialize and network while participating in this ‘once in a life-time experience.’”
The trip included a drive down the Golden Triangle of North India, followed by a tour of the Taj Mahal, lunch at the Mughal Sheraton and visits to other famous landmarks in Agra.
