Liquid Web Opens New Facility
July 26, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Liquid Web (liquidweb.com) announced last week at HostingCon2006 it has opened its newest 32,000 square-foot data center facility. Liquid Web’s exhibit booth featured a video tour of the facility playing on two 42-inch plasma TVs and a virtual tour displayed on two PCs.
Liquid Web’s newest data center, DC2, is located in Lansing, Michigan and supplied with bandwidth by AT&T, MCI and Savvis Communications. The facility will house nearly 8,000 Web servers, making Liquid Web one of the largest consumers of bandwidth in the greater Lansing area.
“HostingCon was the perfect place to announce our newest Data Center because it attracts a very specialized group of companies that demand complete reliability from a Data Center provider,” says Matthew Hill, CEO of Liquid Web. “We designed DC2 with complete redundancy and reliability to cater to customers with an uncompromising need for maximum uptime and support.”
With the opening of new facility, Liquid Web will continue to focus on quality managed hosting services for its shared, dedicated and virtual private server products. Liquid Web’s support team is staffed on site at both DC1 and DC2, around the clock, facilitating response to issues directly.
