Limestone Offers Free Server Licenses

February 7, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Dedicated hosting provider Limestone Networks (limestonenetworks.com) announced on Thursday it is now offering Windows Server 2003 standard licenses as a free option with its S2 and S3 series dedicated servers.

While many other companies charge for this operating system, Limestone Networks says it decided to offer the free Windows Server Standard option on its S2 and S3 servers to extend dedicated server accessibility.

“We believe that a customer’s dedicated server experience should never be impeded by an unfamiliar operating system,” says Gary Kendall, Limestone Network CEO. “We have encouraged our customers who are familiar with Linux to use one of our Linux operating system varieties, but we want customers to have the freedom to add Windows Server 2003 without additional expense on our core S2 and S3 offerings.”

Customers can ask for the Windows Server 2003 Standard when placing their order, and their server will be available with the operating system in two to four hours of provisioning time.
