December 4, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Content delivery network Limelight Networks (limelightnetworks.com) announced on Monday that Matthew Hale has joined the company as chief financial officer.

Hale will report to Limelight Networks’ chairman and CEO Jeff Lunsford and will be responsible for all of the company’s finance and administrative operations.

“I am extremely enthusiastic about joining Limelight Networks during this period of growth, both for the company and the digital media industry,” says Hale. “I look forward to augmenting the company’s finance and administrative operations as we continue our strategic expansion into new international markets. Limelight Networks’ emphasis on both technical innovation and best practices creates an ideal environment for realizing the company’s tremendous potential.”

Hale joins Limelight from customer-interaction software firm S1 Corporation where he was president of North America retail banking, global wholesale banking and insurance markets. Under his leadership, his unit improved operating efficiency and profitability and introduced a new generation of software products. Previously, Hale served as CFO for several technology companies, including Q Up Systems and CCI Triad.

Limelight Networks recently announced it had named Jeffrey Lunsford CEO and chairman of its board of directors.
