Limelight Expands to Asia-Pacific

December 6, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Content delivery network Limelight Networks (limelightnetworks.com) announced on Tuesday that it has officially opened its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore.

Limelight says its new office will provide a convenient point of contact for the company’s expanding customer and partner base in the world’s fastest growing economic region. The location will be headed by Matthew Sturgess, VP Asia-Pacific for Limelight Networks.

“There is an enormous demand in Asia for a high-performance, scalable solution to deliver video, music, games, software downloads and social media content over the Internet,” says Sturgess. “Our next generation content delivery network is unmatched in its ability to meet the needs of regional media companies in delivering large libraries of rich content to massive audiences anywhere in the world. With the recent opening of our Singapore headquarters and some great early customer wins, we are solidly positioning ourselves to achieve significant growth in the Asia-Pacific region.”

Limelight Networks also recently announced it had appointed Matthew Hale its chief financial officer.
