(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Lexent Metro Connect (www.lexent.net), which provides dark fiber networks in the New York Metropolitan area, announced on Tuesday it has named Walter Cannon as director of enterprise sales.
He will use his technology sales experience to further grow Lexent’s core dark fiber business.
With more than 20 years experience in technology sales and executive management, Cannon has held many different senior level sales and management positions within IT, technology, and equipment companies.
Before joining Lexent, Cannon was vice president for TCG SecureZone where he helped establish strategic relationships with business and enterprise clients.
He also served as the managing director of F1 Group where he helped create the Device Remediation Program and met the company’s sales goals.

Lexent builds ultra low latency routes within the New York and New Jersey metro areas to serve its financial, enterprise business and carrier customers.
The company recently completed an ultra-low latency dark fiber route for Equinix, connecting two of Equinix’s data centers in Secaucus, New Jersey, and carrier hotels in Manhattan.
