October 15, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Telecommunications provider Level 3 Communications (level3.com) announced on Monday it is offering the Level 3 Ecosystem program, a new initiative designed to help Web hosts increase their average revenue per user as well as reduce costs.
The program will provide Level 3 Web hosting customers with periodic special offers for hardware, software and services that are targeted to the Web hosting community by third-party vendors.
The company says there are no obligations or purchase requirements for participation, and that it wants to connect its hosting customers with suppliers and vendors who may be able to help them grow their business.
The company sent its first Ecosystem email on Friday, Level 3 included special offers only available to Level 3 customers from a broad range of companies, including SWsoft, vSocial, Fast, First Data, Soholaunch, Ratepoint, NetMagic, Control Scan and RingCentral.
Level 3 announced earlier this month it has added several new components to its business partner program, a support program that enables select telecommunications agents and value added resellers to sell Level 3′s fiber-based IP, data and voice communications services.
