(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center technologies provider Lee Technologies (www.leetechnologies.com) announced on Thursday it has been selected by managed hosting provider Hosted Solutions (www.hostedsolutions.com) to manage and execute the data center build out and re-design at its Charlotte, North Carolina Metro data center.
The announcement follows the company’s more than $6 million upgrade to its Boston data center earlier this year.
Scheduled for completion in November, the data center project is valued at $7 million, according to the companies.
Hosted Solutions was seeking to expand its 10,000 square foot SAS 70 Type II certified facility by an additional 5,000 square feet to accomodate growth.
The company also needed increased power capacity and new mechanical infrastructure for the facility.
To meet these project requirements, Lee Technologies’ design and data center construction management team will employ its time-tested methodology and expertise working in the most demanding mission-critical facility environments.
Lee Technologies says the initial re-design phase of the project has already made room for an additional 400 to 500 square feet of space from the previous data center design.
