LCL Telehousing Opens Colocation Center

February 19, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — European communications company LCL Telehousing (LCL.be) announced on Wednesday that is re-opening the Ebone/KPNQwest data center it took over in September of 2002, allowing the company to provide services to telecom operators, ICT companies, Web hosting providers and Internet providers.

The center, says LCL, extends over 947 square meters of IT space, and employs advanced security techniques, environmental controls and power backup.

The opening of the facility coincides with the arrival of several new clients, including Web housing and Web hosting operators, says LCL. Companies including Belgacom, COLT Telecom, Global Crossing, Telia and Interoute rent space in the facility.
