Layered Tech CMO On To New Project

Layered Tech chief marketing officer since February 2008, Pozadzides said he would not be leaving if not for his position at Woopra.

May 15, 2009 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — On-demand IT infrastructure provider Layered Technologies (www.layeredtech.com) chief marketing officer John Pozadzides has left the company to concentrate his efforts as chief executive officer of iFusion Labs, directing the company’s efforts to grow its real-time, web tracking and analysis service, Woopra (www.woopra.com), as well as pursuing various other projects.

According to a Layered Tech announcement this week, founder Todd Abrams will direct the company’s sales and marketing strategies as part of his role as Layered Tech’s president.

In a blog post, Pozadzides explained that the demands of holding two “C-level” positions became too much as Woopra continued to grow. “[T]his was a very difficult decision for me, but at the end of the day it was absolutely necessary,” Pozadzides wrote.

As CMO since February 2008, Pozadzides said he would not be leaving if not for Woopra and he still has a vested interest in Layered Tech. “Although I am stepping down, I am friends with basically everyone over there and will be available to them whenever they need advice and assistance. In addition, all of Woopra’s infrastructure is hosted at Layered Tech, so we remain a very signifigant – and growing – client.”

In addition to his duties at iFusion Labs, Pozadzides will be producing a new radio style podcast called Wealth Nation (www.wealthnation.fm), which will address topics such as personal finances, business topics and health.

He will also be continuing his popular blog, One Man’s Blog (www.onemansblog.com).

Layered Tech chief executive officer Jack Finlayson said Pozadzides helped well position Layered Tech in key markets and earn the “virtualization experts” moniker. “We wish John all the best and look forward to Layered Tech’s ongoing support of Woopra’s rapid expansion,” Finlayson said in a statement.
