(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Cloud computing management platform RightScale announced on Tuesday that Korean Internet Neutral eXchange, a Korean data center and cloud provider, has become an authorized reseller of RightScale.

This partnership will bring the RightScale Cloud Management Platform to the growing cloud computing market in Korea with localized support.

In November 2011, Yahoo! Japan subsidiary and data center firm IDC Frontier partnered with RightScale to offer customers RightScale’s cloud management platform on the IDCF cloud. RightScale has local offices in Japan and Singapore as well.

RightScale says its partnership program provides partners with a demo RightScale VIP account to access premium features, early access to upcoming versions and flexible reseller options.

“This partnership is an important part of our Asia Pacific strategy,” Josh Fraser, senior vice president of business development at RightScale said in a statement. “KINX’s broad reach in Korea will further extend our business, and give our Korean customers a trusted local partner. We look forward to supporting KINX’s growing cloud services.”

With RightScale, KINX customers will be able to manage public, private and hybrid clouds through a “single pane of glass” and will have access to the RightScale MultiCloud Marketplace that includes pre-built cloud server templates, scripts, and complete architectures. The pre-built configurations are customizable and provide solutions ranging from social gaming architectures to standard application stacks, according to the press release.

KINX has a lot of online gaming and mobile application customers that will benefit from RightScale’s pre-built configurations.

“The cloud’s strength will be based on the smooth deployment and management of our customers’ applications. With this partnership, we believe we will create a path for customers to use the cloud, especially for our active market of developers preparing to launch their new Facebook game or smartphone applications,” Sun Young Lee, CEO of KINX said in a statement.

RightScale has had a presence in the Asia Pacific market since 2008, according to its press release. Other Asia Pacific customers include Hitachi, SCSK Corporation, Tata Communications and Amazon Web Services.
