Kaspersky Lab Names ANZ Business Development Manager

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — IT security research provider Kaspersky Lab (www.kaspersky.com) announced on Tuesday it has named Scott Macdonald to ANZ business development manager in an effort to grow its partner base.

Macdonald previously served as the company’s former Victorian corporate sales manager and southern region sales manager.

In this new role, he will lead the development of the corporate sales channel and raise the brand profile in the business to business sector, the company says.

He has more than 10 years of experience in relationship management and business development in the telco and sports industries.

MacDonald has worked in positions at International Management Group, Siemens Australia and Hutchinson Telecoms.

Prior to joining Kapersky, McDonald served as the commercial partnerships manager for Melbourne Football Club.

“ANZ is a key market for Kaspersky Lab in Asia Pacific,” says Macdonald. “Businesses today are very concerned with the impact that applications have on their infrastructure resources. Applications which, for example, hog memory tend decrease the efficiency of the entire system, which is a problem, particularly for those businesses that require high availability and turnaround. I am very excited to join Kaspersky Lab at a time when customers are more than ever demanding cost-effective, efficient to solutions to their Internet security problems.”
