April 9, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — On-demand services delivery provider Jamcracker (jamcracker.com) announced it is offering the Jamcracker Integration Toolkit, which enables software as a service vendors of all sizes to make their applications available within the Jamcracker services delivery network.
JIT is an XML-based do-it-yourself service integration framework that simplifies the process of publishing SaaS solutions to the JSDN global services catalog. The company says that several vendors have already used the JIT to publish their applications on the JSDN, including Averiware, Brainshark, LongJump, RHUB, Topia Technology and XOffice International.
SaaS ISVs who are part of the JSDN can use Jamcracker’s e-commerce WebStores, billing, provisioning, customer support, helpdesk and administrative services.
Jamcracker says it created JIT to provide on-demand as well as traditional software partners with an efficient method of selling SaaS versions of their applications. SaaS providers only need a working knowledge of XML to use JIT. Jamcracker provides the ISV developer support assistance as well as certification and acceptance-testing of the ISV’s JSDN adapter.
“The Jamcracker Integration Toolkit allows our partners to get their applications onto our delivery network quickly and easily, allows our service-delivery partners to publish their own services to create custom solution bundles for their customers, and as a result enables us to grow our ecosystem of services at a compound rate,” says Steve Crawford, VP of marketing for Jamcracker.
Over 100 applications, services and solution bundles are currently available on the JSDN in several categories including IT services, security and continuity, communications and collaboration, business application solutions, mobile access, and vertical solutions.
These solutions include SaaS offerings from Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, McAfee, Motorola, BlackBerry and dozens of other ISVs and service providers.
