(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Canadian web hosting provider iWeb (www.iweb.com) announced on Friday that it is planting trees in celebration of next week’s HostingCon 2009 (www.hostingcon.com/2009), which the company is sponsoring.

As the premier conference and trade show for the hosted services industry, HostingCon 2009 will take place at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Washington D.C. from August 10 to 12, 2009.

IWeb says it plans to plant a tree on behalf of every HostingCon attendee that sends a picture of them with their iWeb water bottle, which the company is handing out at the event.

To qualify for the promotion, HostingCon attendees can email their water bottle pictures to water@iweb.com.

The company has also launched a special web page to promote the offering. The page currently has a image gallery set up that will presumably used to display the photos sent in by HostingCon attendees.

IWeb recently completed a $3 million financing with BMO Bank of Montreal, one of its major financial partners.
