iWeb Ranks 31st on Profit100 List

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Canadian Web hosting provider iWeb (www.iweb.com) announced on Monday it has achieved its third consecutive ranking on the Profit100 (www.PROFITmagazine.ca), the annual ranking of the fastest growing Canadian companies based on 5-year revenue growth.

iWeb’s revenue increased to over $27.1 million in 2009, from $1.6 million in 2004.

This represents a 1,644 percent growth, moving iWeb into the 31st position, up from 85th the year before and 100th in 2008.

“It is impressive to see how innovative and passionate our team has become,” says CEO Eric Chouinard. “Everyone has put so much into reaching their targets and objectives. iWeb’s growth, almost entirely organic, is the result of this collective effort.”

PROFIT magazine is a Canadian publication dedicated to the management issues and opportunities facing small and mid-sized businesses.

Earlier this year iWeb opened its fourth data center in Montreal, which spans 31,000 square feet for a capacity of nearly 35,000 dedicated servers.

The company also recently completed a new $3 million financing agreement with the Bank of Montreal in order to provision the new data center.

Since 2004, the company’s compounded annual growth rate has been above 75 percent, making it one of Canada’s 100 fastest growing companies.

With over 180 full-time employees, the company provides dedicated server hosting, colocation and Web hosting services to close to 22,000 customers in 150 countries.
