(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – Web hosting provider NaviSite (www.navisite.com) announced on Monday that software as a service firm iSentry (www.isentry.com) will use NaviSite’s managed cloud services to support and deliver its digital content exchange solution.
This announcement comes a week after healthcare firm Post-n-Track deployed NaviSite’s managed cloud services to deliver its collaboration platform to a community of healthcare organizations.
According to the press release, NaviSite has worked closely with iSentry to create a secure cloud-based environment for DCX.
“With NaviSite’s Managed Cloud Services, we can now offer on-demand, cloud-based resources from within a SAS70 environment,” Gareth Evans, managing director, iSentry Group said in a statement. “The ability to rapidly create new Linux virtual machines, combined with NaviSite’s usage-based pricing makes this cloud-based solution doubly attractive. In the US, more than 100 banks and lenders rely on the system for their day-to-day business.”
iSentry says it uses the AppCenter web-based management console to implement a cloud-based version of its existing managed hosting environment. iSentry can rapidly add capacity to its DCX environments to meet demand.
“iSentry’s selection of our Managed Cloud Services highlights the clear business benefits offered by an enterprise-class cloud service,” Philip Cheek, UK general manager, NaviSite stated. “MCS’s robust set of management and security tools enable customers to rapidly deploy and scale cloud-based environments for critical business applications, such as iSentry’s DCX.”
