(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed data center services provider Servecentric (www.servecentric.com) announced Thursday it is planning a phased investment of about $1.4 million in its new cloud computing platform KloudCentric.

In partnership with cloud management company Fort Technologies (www.forttechnologies.com), Servecentric took eighteen months to develop KloudCentric.

Servecentric has already invested about $350,000 in phase one of the platform, which is now complete.

The company plans to use KloudCentric to target Irelands value added reseller channel, which will then brand the service and sell to Irish businesses.

KloudCentric enables customers to create their complete IT infrastructure including customized control of servers, business applications, networks and security.

The built-in drag and drop designer, costing tool, provisioning engine and management and monitoring interface allows real-time visibility of the network.

“Servecentric has always been committed to delivering the most flexible and dynamic data centre managed services in the country and KloudCentric is an extension of this commitment,” said chief executive officer of Servecentric Aidan Donnelly. “We recognized a need to provide a platform that offered companies access to an IT environment that facilitates the operation and growth of their businesses, but also removes the crippling capital costs.”

KloudCentric is built on Fort Technologies MyWorld cloud management software.

Fort Technologies has invested close to $1 million in the development of its cloud software.
