In its announcement, Metatron says PB magic has averaged “approximately $1.5 million in profitable revenue since inception,” which was in 2000. The company reportedly provides web hosting services, along with design, development, custom programming, database integration and advertising campaign management.

Metatron says PB Magic serves, and has worked with, a list of clients that includes Fortune 500 and public sector companies, along with small businesses.

The section of Metatron’s website that describes the company’s other holdings mentions an online dating site, a developer of applications for mobile phone platforms and a payment processing service. PB Magic appears to be the company’s first venture into hosting, though there may be a few obvious benefits to its other businesses from the acquisition.

“PB Magic delivers a unique combination of application management and implementation, hosting and content delivery services to provide full cycle support for today’s industry leaders,” says Metatron CEO Joe Riehl, quoted in the press release. “Apart from their own operations, we see PB Magic as the technological backbone and creative engine for everything we do. This is a key acquisition that helps us set the table for the future.”
