The integration with Rancher’s open source container management platform is offered as part of the Interoute Enterprise Digital Platform. Enterprise developers can deploy containers across Interoute’s underlying cloud infrastructure to dramatically improve the development and launch time for new applications and software, according to the announcement.
Rancher simplifies deployment and management of containers in production, the companies say, and integrating Rancher software allows Interoute to provide access to a full suite of container orchestration and infrastructure services. Customers can deploy containers in any of Interoute’s 17 global cloud zones.
“Enterprises developing and building apps in the cloud and those on a path to Digital Transformation need Digital ICT Infrastructure that allows them to build, test and deploy faster than ever before,” Interoute CTO Matthew Finnie said. “The integration of Rancher software with Interoute Digital Platform gives developers access to a managed container platform, that sits on a global privately networked cloud, enabling true distributed computing.”
DevOps and use of container technology are growing at many enterprises as cloud practices mature, according to Rightscale research released a year ago.
