(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – Five weeks from opening, business technology event Interop Las Vegas 2009 (www.interop.com), produced by media group TechWeb (www.techweb.com), has announced its keynote lineup, which includes industry leaders from top companies such as Hewlett-Packard, VMware, Cisco, SAP and IBM.
With more than 400 exhibitors, Interop Las Vegas will take place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas from May 17 to 21. According to TechWeb’s Wednesday announcement, this year’s keynote presenters include HP cloud services strategy vice president and chief technology officer Russ Daniels, Riverbed Technology chief scientist Mark Stuart Day, HP ProCurve Networking senior VP and general manager Marius Haas, VMware chief technology officer Stephen Herrod, SAP CTO Vishal Sikka, and IBM cloud services VP Ric Telford.
Interop Las Vegas is the largest and most comprehensive IT event of its kind in North America, according to TechWeb, and will present a lineup of industry leaders with rich, solution-oriented case studies and presentations.
“This year we’re making big news at Interop,” Interop GM Lenny Heymann said in a statement. “From our keynote lineup to the dynamic show floor, we’ll deliver an acute sense of where the market is and where it is going. Interop will highlight innovations in areas such as cloud computing, virtualization and the data center with an emphasis on showing users how they can help their companies save money and increase productivity.”
In addition to keynote presentations, Interop Las Vegas offers a multi-track conference, a major expo show floor, networking opportunities, as well as many “un-conference-like” events where attendees can informally drive the content and conversation.
“Energy Camp” is returning to Interop this year, gathering industry stakeholders together to discuss the importance of energy conservation and how to best implement green IT solutions and methods. Also, Interop will be featuring its first CloudCamp (www.cloudcamp.com) un-conference, giving early adapters of cloud computing technologies a venue to exchange ideas, share experiences and discuss solutions.
