January 12, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Internet access services provider Internet America (internetamerica.com) announced on Thursday that Jennifer S. LeBlanc, CPA has been named chief financial officer and chief accounting officer of the company.
LeBlanc previously held audit management positions with PKF of Texas and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Prior to that, she was director of finance for a unit of National Data Corporation.
“We are very excited to have an experienced financial manager such as Jennifer joining our team,” says Billy Ladin, chairman and CEO of Internet America. “Over the past few months, Jennifer, in a consulting role with us, has been leading the restructuring of our financial management and reporting systems to accommodate our continued focus on our wireless Internet access business.”
The company also announced that it would relocate its corporate headquarters from Dallas to Houston, Texas, where it will consolidate some of its operations there. It expects the relocation to be completed in approximately two months.
