October 16, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Internet business solutions provider Internap Network Services (internap.com) announced on Monday that it has appointed Jim Leach its vice president of marketing and sales operations.

In his new role, Leach will provide leadership and management of the company’s marketing organization and programs worldwide. He will be responsible for go-to-market campaigns, sales support, marketing communications, press and industry analyst outreach, market planning and segmentation, partner/channel programs, strategic alliances, product marketing and branding.

“Enterprise CIOs are looking for trusted suppliers of IT solutions that improve the efficiency of their operations and optimize the performance of their applications,” says Leach. “Internap has a great portfolio of technology assets and a long history of working in partnership with IT organizations to maximize the value delivered to the overall business. I am thrilled to be joining Internap and look forward to demonstrating our value to the marketplace.”

Leach joins Internap after serving seven years at SAVVIS as VP of corporate marketing, where he helped the company grow from a start-up to an $800 million global leader in IT infrastructure services. Prior to joining SAVVIS, Leach spent 15 years at IBM in solutions engineering, sales and marketing.

Last week, the US Navy’s E-2/C-2 program selected Internap to provide it with on-demand and live video streaming services.
