With a membership of 39,000 insurance and investment services professionals and advisors, MDRT selected Internap to develop a specialized media player for a secured, community website that offers members exclusive content for their personal and professional development.
MDRT represents the top 1 percent of financial professionals, stemming from companies such as AIG, Prudential, Mass Mutual, New York Life and Northwestern Mutual.
Internap built and support a CDN solution dubbed MDRTV, an online private web channel featuring videos that address the meaning of MDRT, mentoring, leadership, education, organizational history, the MDRT volunteer foundation and highlights from the MDRT annual meetings.
The company’s CDN solution includes a 100 percent service level agreement for both quality and uptime. All the major streaming media formats are supported including Adobe Flash, Microsoft Windows Media, Silverlight and HTTP/web downloads.
The CDN solution includes MediaConsole, a workflow management toolset for streaming media that includes a media manager, pre-built video skins and a real-time reporting dashboard. There are also many optional services available through CDN, including transcoding, player development, digital asset management and monetization tools.
