(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Content management system vendor Kentico (www.kentico.com) has entered into a partnership with software-as-a-service provider Intermedia (www.intermedia.net) to provide customers a turnkey hosted solution for Kentico’s CMS platform, letting Kentico customers install and run the Kentico CMS on Intermedia’s hosting platform without any technical expertise required.
According to Kentico’s Monday announcement, its partnership with Intermedia provides SMBs a solution that lets them quickly design and build advanced, content-driven websites and host them using Intermedia’s cloud-based platform, which includes 24/7 technical support providing customers quick problem resolution.
“We at Kentico are fully driven to deliver the most comprehensive, reliable and fully customizable web content management system. This does not include any hosting services, which we want to keep for the real professionals in the field,” Kentico partner manager Petr Passinger said in a statement. “That is why we are happy to introduce Intermedia as our new hosting partner. Our partnership with Intermedia will enable us to offer our clients enterprise-grade, outstandingly reliable, 24/7 supported professional hosting service.”
Used by more than 2,000 sites across 74 countries, Kentico CMS provides a complete set of features for building websites including community sites, Intranets and online stores on the Microsoft ASP.NET platform. It supports WYSIWYG content editing, workflow options, multiple languages, full-text search, search engine optimization, online forms, image galleries, forums, blogs, polls, media libraries and 200 configurable web parts.
Intermedia’s web hosting solutions product manager Anna Silchenko said small businesses need a CMS platform, which lets them build, modify and update websites quickly, without costly investments in developers or designers. “Kentico lets customers manage websites without complex IT skills, enabling them to rapidly develop and deploy dynamic, content-driven websites,” Silchenko said in a statement. “The solution is ideal for Intermedia’s SMB customer base.”
