Intermedia.NET Offers Free Upgrade
October 23, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Application hosting provider Intermedia.NET (intermedia.net) announced on Monday that it has committed to providing all its Microsoft Exchange hosting customers with free upgrades to Exchange 2007 following the release of the software.
“Our pledge is an important one, as it demonstrates both our market and technological leadership, as well as our commitment to offer customers the very best in hosted Exchange service,” says Serguei Sofinski, CEO of Intermedia. “Anyone considering hosted Exchange should ask, and is entitled to know, the roadmap for the Exchange hosting providers they are considering.”
Since 2000, Intermedia has offered Microsoft Exchange hosting for small and medium-sized businesses. With Exchange 2007, industry analysts predict an even higher level of outsourcing, as companies look to focus on their core competency and not on routine IT management.
The new version of Exchange will offer significant new features, including the possibility of unified messaging, integrating voicemail, instant messages and email together. Enhanced antivirus and anti-spam, as well as advanced clustering, are also expected to increase uptime and reliability.
