Intermedia.NET Launches VPS Hosting
September 19, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Intermedia.NET (intermedia.net) announced on Monday it has launched a Windows 2003 virtual private server offering.
Intermedia.NET says this will be beneficial for developers because it offers a customizable environment without the higher cost of buying a physical dedicated server, as well as a 99.9 percent uptime and support from Microsoft Gold Certified staff. Pricing for the fully managed service starts at $150 per month.
The company says each virtual private server is highly configurable and can be built to its customers’ exact specifications. Intermedia’s VPS hosting servers reside in the company’s Tier-1 data center and run on dual-core Intel Xeon processors, with 8 GB RAM and SCSI RAID storage.
