Interland Outlines Change to Web.com

February 21, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Interland (interland.com) announced on Tuesday that it intends to complete its transition to the corporate name Web.com on March 20, 2006.

The company announced plans to change its name in January. Interland acquired the Web.com brand, along with its Web hosting assets in December.

Interland says adopting the Web.com brand will help the company better align itself with its core Web services business. The company will continue to trade on the NASDAQ, but will trade in its INLD ticker symbol for the new symbol WWWW. The change will also take place March 20.

“The Web.com name embraces everything in a brand that offers Web services to both small businesses and consumers,” says Jeff Stibel, President and CEO of Interland. “From a business perspective, we feel the name change will enable powerful new marketing, business development and sales opportunities. While we intend to leverage the Interland name as it is well known within the technical community, we will focus on making Web.com the standard for creating a powerful Web presence.”
