Interland CEO Named Prominent Exec

October 16, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Interland (interland.com) said today that Joel Kocher, chairman and CEO, has been named to the Atlanta Business Chronicle?s ‘Who?s Who in Technology’ list. The annual list appears in the October 10-16 issue.

“It’s an honor to be recognized in Interland’s hometown of Atlanta,” said Kocher. “This list highlights the breadth of talented leaders in this market, and I’m thrilled to be included. However, today’s Interland is truly the result of hundreds of employees who have worked hard to build our company into a market leader in online solutions for small and medium businesses.”

Prior to joining Interland, Kocher was chairman and CEO of Micron Electronics where he created a Web hosting division in 1999. In August 2001, he led the acquisition of Interland.

In addition to today’s announcement, Interland released financial results yesterday for its fourth fiscal quarter and fiscal year ending August 31. The company reported revenues of $27.3 million for the quarter and $106.6 million for fiscal year 2003, an increase of 4.9 percent over 2002.

“We have improved our EBITDA performance from a loss of $13.2 million just six quarters ago by relentlessly executing on an aggressive acquisition and integration plan,” said Kocher. “Now that we have scale and have established very attractive incremental margins, proving the value of our model and of our vision, we can confidently invest in growing our business by bringing the world of mainstream small business to the Web.”
