January 25, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Interland, Inc. (interland.com), a provider of Web hostingservices to small and medium businesses, today announced it has acquired thesmall business-focused shared and dedicated Web hosting assets of AT&T(att.com), relating to AT&T Small Business Hosting Service and Business Ready Dedicated Hosting Service. The company estimates the total value ofthe deal will be between $4 million and $12 million.
The acquisition is the second announced by Interland in recent weeks,fulfilling the company’s goals to accelerate growth through accountacquisitions as the Web hosting market consolidates.
“The acquisition of AT&T’s small business hosting customers is a perfectstrategic fit for Interland,” said Joel J. Kocher, Interland’s chairman andCEO. “By being highly selective in our account acquisition strategy, we areleveraging our strong cash position to achieve greater scale and accelerateour drive to cash flow profitability.”

Integration of the customers into Interland’s existing operations isexpected to begin immediately.
