October 16, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Intergenia (intergenia.de) announced on Monday that it has been named one of the fastest growing businesses in Germany by consulting firm Deloitte Deutschland (deloitte.com/de).
With a 482.96 percent growth over the last five years, Intergenia ranked 22nd on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50, making it the fastest growing Web hosting provider in Germany. The Technology Fast 50 rankings are based on cumulative percentage-based growth rates from 2002 to 2006 and recognizes the quickest growing technology enterprises for their top entrepreneurial performance.
Intergenia is financed through equity capital and has remained management owned since its founding. With a workforce of 100 employees, the company says it generates a turnover of several millions and began in 1999 by launching PlusServer, the first dedicated server product on the German market.
Intergenia also recently chose Comodo to power its new range of SSL certificate offerings.
