Cloud and managed services company InterCloud Systems has reached an agreement to acquire cloud data protection company VaultLogix for an undisclosed amount. InterCloud notes that VaultLogix’ annual revenue is over $12 million, and its EBITDA is $4.5 million.
According to the announcement, VaultLogix intellectual property and over 500 channel partnerships are desired by InterCloud, in addition to its hybrid cloud backup and data protection business.
VaultLogix uses encryption, duplication and compression to protect enterprise-class systems and applications for nearly 10,000 business customers. Its partner program also includes 13 top RMM and PSA companies, according to the release.
“We look forward to both selling the VaultLogix services to the impressive InterCloud clientele as well as cross-selling the portfolio of InterCloud services to our existing team of resellers and customers,” VaultLogix CEO Tim Hannibal said. “As the managed services industry evolves, customers are looking toward a single vendor for multiple cloud services. InterCloud’s wide range of cloud services such as IaaS, Virtual Desktop, Hosted Exchange, Disaster Recovery in the cloud and file sharing are highly complementary to the VaultLogix cloud backup service.”
Last year, InterCloud launched an enterprise cloud platform with customizable infrastructure and applications, and since then the company seems to be focused on broadening its services offerings.
The deal with VaultLogix is expected to close within 60 days.
