Diane Bryant will head Intel's data center group
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Intel announced on Thursday that it has made several changes to its senior management team, including its chief information officer and vice president Diane Bryant leading its data center business. Kim Stevenson, vice president of IT global operations and services, will succeed Bryant as CIO.
According to the press release, Bryant will succeed Kirk Skaugen as general manager of Intel’s data center group. Skaugen will become the new head of the PC client group, succeeding Intel vice president Mooly Eden. Eden is moving to Israel after nine years in the US to head Intel’s Israeli division.
The Data Center Group accounted for $10.1 billion in revenue. Its revenue grew 17 percent over 2010. The group had Q4 revenue of $2.7 billion, up 8 percent year over year.
Other changes include Andy Bryant moving from vice chairman to full-time executive chairman. Brian Krzanich has been named chief operating officer, and will report to Paul Otellini, president and CEO. Prior to his appointment, Krzanich was senior vice president of Intel’s worldwide manufacturing. Krzanich will oversee manufacturing and be responsible for internal IT and human resources.
Dadi Perlmutter has been named chief product officer and will lead the Intel Architecture Group.
Stacy Smith, senior vice president and chief financial officer will now report to Otellini, as opposed to Bryant.
Bill Holt, senior vice president and head of technology development, will also report directly to Otellini. Holt and Krzanich will co-manage the technology and manufacturing group.
The changes will become effective over the next 30 days.
