June 13, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web analytics firm Netcraft (netcraft.com) announced on Friday that INetU Managed Hosting (inetu.net) is the most reliable hosting site for May 2008.

Although it dropped to third most reliable site last month, Netcraft reported that INetU also held the position as the most reliable hosting company website in March.

Established in 1996, INetU is an enterprise managed hosting company and says it “notably offers a 100 percent uptime service level guarantee.” Managed services provided by INetU include MySQL and MS SQL database clusters, Exchange servers, virtualization and firewalls.

The company was also one of the first to announce a Windows Server 2008 hosting offering after Microsoft’s worldwide launch of the platform in February.

Rounding off the top five reliable websites for May is Aplus.Net followed by New York Internet, Rackspace and Go Daddy, says Netcraft.

According to the report, four of May’s top ten hosting companies run Linux on their main sites. Three of the others use FreeBSD and another uses Windows Server 2003.

Netcraft says each month it calculates and posts the response times of 50 leading hosting providers’ sites. The measurements are made at 15-minute intervals from separate points around the Internet, and averages are assessed over the immediately preceding 24-hour period.

Last month, Netcraft released its Web Server Survey for May 2008, saying it had received responses from 168,408,112 websites.
