iNET Unveils Cloud Theme for HostingCon 2010

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Social media firm and event organizer iNET Interactive (www.inetinteractive.com) announced on Wednesday that the theme for web hosting conference and tradeshow HostingCon (www.hostingcon.com) will be “Piloting Into the Cloud – Setting a Course for the Future”.

Now in its sixth year, HostingCon 2010 will be held July 19 to 21 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.

Over 1,500 hosted services professionals from more than 30 countries are expected to attend, says the company.

“Without a doubt, the cloud is the 800-pound gorilla applying market pressure and likewise opening new opportunities within the industry,” says Kevin Gold, the chairman of HostingCon 2010. “Whether a company decides to go up, around, through or beneath it, one way or another, companies must strategically confront the cloud and set a plan in motion for how to compete.”

The conference is adding a dedicated cloud track to its educational program to reinforce the important role it will play in the future of the web hosting industry.

Additional tracks to be covered at HostingCon 2010 will include Marketing & Sales, Technology, Business Development and Data Centers.

In addition to the new educational tracks, HostingCon 2010 will feature 66 percent C-level executives in attendance, more than 120 companies on the exhibition floor, which is currently 90 percent sold out, 35 percent more speaking panels, 40 percent new speakers, and three networking events, including a Happy Hour in the Exhibit Hall.
