(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — More than 100 exhibitors are preparing for next week’s HostingCon (www.hostingcon.com), the Web hosting industry’s annual conference and trade show, in which more than 1,200 IT professionals, including many C-level executives, gather from more than 30 countries to discuss the latest technologies and strategies, and develop partnerships.
This year’s HostingCon marks the first time it is being held in Austin, Texas, and more than 1,500 industry professionals are expected to attend HostingCon 2010 at the Austin Convention Center at 500 East Cesar Chavez Street from July 19 to 21.
HostingCon is hosted by iNET Interactive (www.inetinteractive.com), which operates some of the most prominent online communities for technology professionals and technology enthusiasts. It acquired HostingCon from Interjuncture (www.interjuncture.com) in July 2008.
The HostingCon 2010 educational program features 35 percent more speaking panels and a speaker roster that includes 40 percent new people. New speakers at the conference include thought-leaders from HP, Cisco, VMWare, Switch and Data, rackAID, the US Defense Information Systems Agency, and many more. Well-received companies from HostingCon 2009 are returning to speak, including Rackspace, Tier1 Research, SoftLayer, Cheval Capital, Exact Target and SEOmoz.
The WHIR editor Liam Eagle will be moderating a panel discussion called, “Opportunities and Advantages for Hosting Resellers” that features the expert opions of Tucows’ Elliot Noss, The Planet’s Doug Erwin, and Douglas Hanna from A Small Orange.
The HostingCon 2010 exhibit hall sold out more than two months before the event, with more than 120 companies expected to flood the exhibit hall, showcasing their latest products and services for two days.
A staple of HostingCon since it’s inception, the opening and closing networking receptions have been renowned for providing a place where business and partnering between companies happens. Expanding on this strength, HostingCon 2010 will introduce a third networking event on Tuesday evening to further encourage partnering between companies and networking between attendees.
