A feature on ESDS' website helps predict cloud users' costs
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider ESDS announced on Monday that it has launched its cloud platform eNlight.
This news comes a couple of months after ESDS announced that it will open three new offices in India next year. The offices will be located in Mumbai, Bangalore and Indore.
As the Indian cloud market is predicted to hit $16 billion by 2020, ESDS has positioned itself to provide cloud solutions to the market through its new cloud platform, as well as its projected office expansions.
ESDS says its eNlight cloud platform is designed to automatically adjust the RAM and CPU usage of a server by detecting resource usage of the hosted website/application. eNlight also scales bandwidth automatically, according to the press release.
eNlight also features a pre-paid billing structure that ESDS says will ensure users spend within their budget, and remain in charge of the costs.
ESDS says its cloud platform records resource usage statistics every minute and subsequently bills users based on the resources they use. Users are not bound by any contract with eNlight either.
“Reliability and support are critical in business, where every second of downtime could mean lost work, lost custom and lost income,” ESDS CEO and managing director Piyush Somani said in a statement. “eNlight is highly scalable, secure, reliable and an ideal solution for businesses needing consistently high resources with absolutely no downtime, and for those that attract seasonal traffic.”
eNlight cloud offers Linux or Windows operating systems and has the option of cPanel or WHM and Plesk. It also includes 2 dedicated IPs and an uptime of 99.995 percent, according to its website.
