(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Giving UK resellers the chance to join the Zimbra (www.zimbra.com) partner network, wholesale licensing and white label hosting provider In-Tuition Networks (www.in-tuition.net) will be launching a new partnership program in London this October, offering IT outsourcers, value-added resellers and SaaS hosting providers the chance to provide Yahoo!’s (www.yahoo.com) open-source email and collaboration software to their clients.
As UK’s leading Zimbra distributor, In-Tuition is launching the UK partner program with an event at Yahoo’s UK headquarters in central London on October 15, according to In-Tuition’s Wednesday announcement.
It will be distributing Zimbra Collaboration Suite of integrated email messaging and collaboration software, which enables end users to work more efficiently, saving time and cutting costs. ZCS integrates email, contacts, shared calendar and online document authoring into a single interface, and allows businesses to create their own custom “mash-up” interfaces incorporating third party applications such as IP telephony, CRM and other line of business applications.
“The problem with traditional email is that it hasn’t kept pace with the ever-greater volume of email communications and the increasing functionalities that end users now demand from their messaging systems,” In-Tuition managing director Marc Gadsdon said in a statement. “In-Tuition is enabling UK email resellers to offer Zimbra’s state-of-the-art software, saving end users time by condensing common tasks, such as mashing up address book and calendar information to appear within users’ email, so users don’t have to open multiple applications for each task and switch between them.”
Zimbra EMEA general manager Lars Ronning said Zimbra is already used to provide more than 40 million paid mailboxes at more than 60,000 organisations. “As worldwide demand continues to grow, our global partners will provide valuable regional expertise to help us scale to serve more local markets,” Ronning said in a statement. “In the UK, In-Tuition’ unique combination of wholesale licensing services and white label Zimbra Hosting makes it easy for resellers to offer Zimbra regardless of how they wish to deploy it to their customer base.”
The Zimbra partner network enables resellers with a partner portal with documentation, sales tools and marketing resources. There’s also a “Gold” tier for high-level partnerships, and further opportunities for partners to gain visibility on the Zimbra website and even more resources for co-marketing and selling.
