Imperva Releases App Security Solution

February 18, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Imperva (imperva.com), a developer of data center application security solutions, announced on Tuesday that it is preparing to release SecureSphere version 2, a solution designed to secure Web applications, such as e-commerce, online banking and supply chain management, in corporate data centers.

SecureSphere is a combination hardware/software attack prevention solution powered by both Imperva’s intrusion prevention technology and its proprietary Correlated Attack Validation technology, which detects and prevents attacks on unique business logic and data. SecureSphere version 2 also adds attack signature management capabilities to its existing intrusion prevention technology and allows users to customize their application intrusion prevention.

“Most security managers are faced with a new challenge in securing the applications in their data center. Securing the platform applications that they are based on – like Microsoft IIS or Apache or the SQL database ? is the first and easiest step,” says Shlomo Kramer, CEO of Imperva. “Securing the business logic and proprietary data is equally as critical, and yet more difficult due to the need to achieve accurate protection of a custom code base. With SecureSphere the security manager gets a single comprehensive solution for securing all aspects of the Internet and intranet applications in their data center.”

SecureSphere version 2′s Correlated Attack Validation technology is also equipped with Imperva?s Persistent Learning technology, which allows SecureSphere to automatically adapt to changes in the applications it is protecting.
