Imperva Names VP Sales for EMEA

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Application data security provider Imperva (www.imperva.com) announced on Wednesday it has named Henk Jan Spanjaard as vice president of sales for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Earlier this month, Imperva appointed Brian Contos as its chief security strategist.

Spanjaard has more than 20 years of experience in sales and management for information technology vendors.

Most recently, he served as vice president and general manager for EMEA at service assurance appliance vendor Mu Dynamics, where he built a sales team and business operations from the ground up.

In his position of vice president of sales for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Spanjaard will direct Imperva’s aggressive growth initiatives in key European markets, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and The Netherlands.

“Henk Jan Spanjaard has successfully managed sales and business operations in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for several growing security and networking technology vendors,” says Shlomo Kramer, president and CEO of Imperva. “Henk Jan has the management skills, technical expertise, and region-specific experience to continue to grow Imperva’s share of key EMEA markets and aggressively expand into new ones.”

Prior to his position at Mu Dynamics, Spanjaard served at Network Appliance for over nine years in a variety of roles, including regional manager for Italy, Spain, and Portugal.

He has also worked as managing director for EMEA at security appliance vendor Decru, and held sales and engineering positions with IT services firms Logica and Telindus.

Imperva provides solutions that focus on application data security, including activity monitoring, real-time protection and risk management solutions for business applications and data.

According to the press release, Imperva supplies more than 4,500 enterprises and government organizations in more than 35 countries.
