Imperva Names EMEA Managing Director

December 14, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center application security solutions provider Imperva (imperva.com) announced on Thursday it has appointed Jonathan Mepsted as managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Mepsted will lead Imperva’s expansion in key European markets, like the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Italy, where the company has achieved early successes and will assume responsibility for EMEA business operations including sales, channel program development and administration.

“Jonathan Mepsted has previously built and managed successful EMEA franchises for Fortinet and NetScreen, two of the world’s leading network security companies,” says Jim Drill, VP of worldwide sales at Imperva. “Jonathan is a proven leader and business manager with the right combination of skills and industry contacts to rapidly expand our European operations. He will play a pivotal role in helping establish Imperva as the global leader in data security and compliance.”

Initially, Mepsted will focus on building Imperva’s presence in the key European markets the company has already settled in and from there, Mepsted will recruit and manage teams and expand Imperva’s channel partnerships throughout EMEA. Mepsted joins Imperva from security appliance vendor Fortinet, where he managed both direct and channel sales for EMEA and led the company’s expansion into the mobile and landline operator markets.
