MArch 17, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Application service provider IceWEB (iceweb.com) announced on Thursday that it has acquired IT business services provider PatriotNet (patriot.net).

The acquisition will add another 3,500 email users to IceWEB’s customer base, transitioned to IceMAIL, as well as some 300 Web hosting customers that will be converted to IceVISTA. It also enables IceWEB to offer an end-to-end solution for small businesses, and will immediately generate over $100,000 in recurring revenue per month.

“The IceWEB vision has been to create a smart enterprise suite that allows small businesses to emulate large IT infrastructure at an extremely affordable price through an interactive commerce driven Web site,” says IceWEB president G. IceWEB has already launched a marketing campaign for IceMAIL that includes radio and direct mail, focusing on a specific target market of small to medium-sized businesses. The company will also promote the IceMAIL Web site through Web optimization techniques.
